See My Footprints initially began as Chapter 2 of losing Brenna. It's since evolved into a blog encompassing eco-thinking, attemps to get closer to self-reliance, kids, creating, baking, making, gardening and all manner of other ramblings.

'Croc' shirts from yesterday
Jake drew his own design and cut it out (I did trim it a little for him), his is the green shirt...
I said to him it couldn't be too detailed, and needed to be more like a sillhouette... I did Zeke's one. They are both happy with their shirts... now... what to do for Master Q?

two more projects completed woot woot!
LOL oh yay for the feeling of actually finishing something eh! What a difference not going to school three times a day and back each time, can make. As always, we're enjoying the school holidays :) The owl shirt we did before was a pattern found online (details in that post). This time, for the white wing fairy wren, we made our own pattern up. Jake is now drawing up a croc that he wants appliqued LOL the downside is that the machine ate the tail of the wren LOL so now Brooke is doing either a rainbow or a branch with leaves, to stitch over it to fix the hole...
The pads are for a friend, and the wetbag to go with it that I finished yesterday. They're just draft pads to check for width and length before I make some more. Hopefully she likes them as this is her first foray into the world of washable menstrual pads.

Birthday Sewing...

Sewing for Birthdays... one being Brooke's friend and the other, Jake's friend. Plenty more birthdays to come this year~! Especially when you have a unique name, you know you're never going to find your name on the mug/toothbrush etc stands in the shops, as standard. So it's nice I think to have something with your name on it...

yay! Pleased with how today's sewing turned out!
As to sewing with little people, if you allow yourself to sew bit by bit you can get there and this is what I began and finished today. I'm quite pleased with how it went and boy do I have some more ideas! This was just a scrap of fabric, not enough fabric to do much else with - just enough for this project. (there's a few bits not quite right, so just humour me LOL) So Quinn has a 'new' shirt.
