Operation June (extended to JULY)

It all began here. The idea being to set myself a deadline of June this year, to have the house and rhythms organised and underway. I thought rather than doing individual posts on the blog frequently, I'll keep a track of the main things I'd achieved towards completing operation June, on this page.  I can link to them in a blog post, or link out from here to the blog post. I guess there's a heap of things to list, but I'm trying to leave off the every day things (otherwise the list would be endless, right?) and just 'tick' off the things that don't get done on a daily basis, that need doing, or projects that need to be started/completed, and where they are at - partly to keep me on track!  So here goes. Click on the 'tick' for more info on the completed item.

Well we came to June and then into July.  It's now 'Operation July' and I have less time.  So better get moving.  I'll make a new list, though, I think.

OPERATION JULY LIST

• portable hard drive backup for the computer [JanL research begun, funds pending][JULY DONE!] 
• sell cubby house [JULY DONE!]  
• finish sewing for A and A 
• reorganise desk ready for UNI 
• finish declutter back room
• tax return completed
• Master Bedroom wardrobe sorted
• Kids rooms reorganised/children moved (this is a big job as a BIR will be coming out for a start...)

OPERATION JUNE LIST:

• clear out our built-in-robe in the Master bedroom.  Something like this - be ruthless.
• 'closet in a cupboard' - for my UNI study.
• sew lunch bags for the children for school [May: 2/3 done, and two made for a friend ]
• Christmas tub (storage of Christmas decorations etc) organised, packed and away. [Jan:  except stockings!] 
• complete 5 cross-stitch birth samplers - one for each of my babies
• paint Master bedroom [Jan: 3 paints to choose from]
• sew the three cushion covers for the bedroom [Jan: ]
• finish painting toilet - that I began in 1999!
• put the second piece of bench top on in the laundry

• fix the chip in the kitchen bench top
• get a quote for materials for the (DIY) drainage near the back door
• sell cubby house [JULY DONE!] 
• sell wedding dress, sell 3-in-1 portacot
• major cull in the back room
• tubs by the window in the back room
• white wardrobe sorted in the back room
• clear the sewing table [April: done! ]
• clear and organise the computer area begun
• things like this... I really want to do.  More spaces like this... calm. organised. ready. real.
• tubs by the Expedit in the back room [Jan: done!]
• tidy Expedit back room
• water tank installed
• quote on adding to our existing grid-solar not possible at the moment
• removing 'stuff' from back yard near back fence
• install the drainage
• 'Go Bags' ready - to grab when you have just minutes to get out of the house be that fire or a midnight dash to PMH [it's underway] All part of the 'Be Prepared' series
• 'Car Kit' ready - stuck out on the road when something happens or need to jump in the car and go ~now~ for some reason. [it's underway] All part of the 'Be Prepared' series
• 'Staying Home Kit' ready - when it's time to batten down for a cyclone, or if the power/water is out for extended time in just an average week, or if there's for some reason, no money for anything for a week or two... [it's underway]  All part of the 'Be Prepared' series
• achieve savings Goal A by June  [WIP: JAN: budget has been drawn up, it's underway] update May: needing redrafting.
• pay out Debt A by June [WIP: JAN: budget has been drawn up, it's underway] update May: needing redrafting.
