In regards to Christmas, at the end of a big family meal like that I play a game of hands up, hands down.Love it!
Before the first plate is removed from the table I ask "hands up all who ate here today". Then I say "hands down all who contributed to the cooking and preparation". Then I say "Thankyou to all those with their hands in the air who have kindly volunteered for cleanup duty".
