The owl and the pussy cat went to sea
in a beautiful pea green boat...
these are the little wax figures that Zeke made to 'illustrate' the story they learnt and then performed in Class 1, for the school and later for parents/family/friends. To show you just exactly how smal these wax figures are - the little pig sits nicely on a 5c piece...
here is the owl and the pussy cat. The full size would be lucky to fit on a 20c piece. It's really hard to get both angles and the detail that's in it but it sure is pretty awesome to see what a just-turned-7 year old has created with his hands and coloured beeswax.
and the little bee... I am seriously on macro setting on the camera for these!
the geese. Yes I know one is upside down - for illustration purposes! They don't quite show up in the pic but when they're standing they really do capture 'geese' pose... if that makes sense.
there are fish, and the turkey and a basket - all with the relevant details and quite well done considering how tiny they are!
and here is the story sheet. It's A3 size I think, so that gives you more of an idea of the size of the characters made. bottom left is the wood, the blue across the middle the sea and top right is the island.
